Ok, so Allyson and I have been scheming for MONTHS. No joke. October or November is when it all started. We wanted to do something fun for our 30th, and figured a karaoke / Surprise Birthday party (for Trav) would be fun. It was a blast! First, Travis and I went to dinner at Pappas Steakhouse on Saturday night. We had a few cocktails, and ate some delicious food. It was wonderful and felt very "grown up." I then told Travis that we were stopping by a bar to see Allyson & Richard. I told him it was her sister-in-law's engagement party and we were only staying for a drink.
Obviously, when we got there, he learned that was not the case. A bunch of our friends (and some family) were there, in our own private karaoke room. It didn't take long for anyone got on stage. Thanks to Danny and Matt for getting it all started... and thanks to Trav for shutting it down. Happy 30th to US!

The last picture of the night. I had to pull him off the stage. Party = success!Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone that came out to celebrate our turning 30 (or that wanted to and were not able!). What a special night, one that marks the start of something new... our 30's. A lot has happened in the last 10 years. I have grown up a lot, gotten married, started a family and became a working Mom. I love it all and am grateful for what my life is and has become. Bring it on, 30's!
