What I am Loving Right Now...

1. Ritmo Maternity Sound System

Last week, my Ritmo sound system (by Nuvo) came in. It is this awesome belt that you wear around your tummy that has speakers built in so that Blair can hear music. It also has two little pockets, one for the MP3 plater and the other for the sound system, so you are completely free to do dishes, do laundry, or just relax without the system getting in the way.

As you know, Travis and I are such big fans of music, this was an obvious purchase. Travis has loaded up an old MP3 player with everything from classical to rock. I must say, it's awesome and I love it. I will wear it for about an hour at a time, a few days a week. I hope that Blair loves music as much as we do!

2. Candy

Thank goodness for Halloween! I am loving the candy! We bought a ton of candy for the trick-or-treaters (and because I wanted to make sure there was some left over to satisfy these sugar cravings!), but unfortunately got maybe only 20 or so. Darn, I guess I'll finish the bowl. :)

3. The Weather!

Ahhhh, we had a lovely cool front blow in today and it is wonderful! Our windows are up all over the house (of course I am in long sleeve PJs), but I love it. Raleigh is even happier about the weather!

Oh! One more thing I just had to tell y'all about... I gave Travis a gift with a bunch of little gifts from Blair and I. I found this hilarious mug that I felt Trav just HAD to have. The picture is sort of small, but it says "Guns Don't Kill People, Daddies with Pretty Daughters Do."

How great is this?!?

Lucky Number 13?

First off, I just wanted to thank everyone that had the sweetest things to say upon finding out our exciting news! It really meant a lot to Travis and I that everyone was so sweet and congratulating! XoXoX

Ok, an update. I think I spoke too soon in my last post when I said that I felt that the morning sickness was subsiding... because it hasn't. Sometimes I am lucky enough to only have the nausea in the evenings, but "fun" days like today, I experience it all day long. I've decided that I will be happy for the good days and patient with the not-so-good days.

On Wednesday, my Mom, Trav and I will be going back to see Dr. Schmidt for some routine testing and an ultrasound. We are bringing Mom along in hopes that she might be able to sneak a peek at the ultrasound (since she was an ultrasound tech in a previous life) and shed some light on the sex of our baby. Though it's a long shot, we are anxious to find out what we are having! I haven't done much shopping for the baby (which is weird considering I've wanted babies since I was one!), and I am excited to pick out either pink or blue things! :) So we shall see if we get lucky in Week 13!

My fall wishes have finally been granted! Today we had our first cool front come through! I think that fall is my new favorite season. I think it's a mixture of the cool, crisp air, the beautiful fall leaf colors, and the family holidays... I think the pregnancy is making me soft! Haha. I've done some decorating around the house in preparation for the fall holidays (will post pics later) and I am already planning fun things we can turn into family traditions with our growing family. There is one special tradition that will always remain... being in the company of our dearest family and friends!
