Angelina Ballerinas

Today, Blair and Zoey had their 1st day of ballet class! We had been waiting a couple of months for the fall classes to start (since they didn't have classes for their age group on Saturdays... working parents - what?). When we signed up the girls yesterday, they were both very sad to leave - but today was the day!!

Pink tights? Check.

Pink leotard? Check.

Ballet shoes? Check.

Participation was slow to start, but since there were only three little girls in the class (B, Z and one other girl) they quickly warmed up. Miss Tiffany was very patient with the girls and they had a great time!

Cheesing it for the camera

Parents had to watch from the window. I still took plenty of pictures.

Love those girls in the background!

We have begun seeing this face a lot lately. Thanks, school friends.

Cute girls from the window

Tiny dancers

Blair LOVED the huge mirror to watch herself. She spent 90% of the time being silly in the mirror.

See?

The girls loved putting on tutus and dancing on the Angelina Ballerina stage!

Blair loved it!!

The girls got stamps on their hands - and bows with their names embroidered on them!

Showing her new bow to Daddy!

Love this girl so much!

They had posed for a ton of pictures and were done.

We can't wait for next week!

1st Horseback Ride!

Last weekend, we went out to Hempstead to visit Grandma 'Ancy and Grandpa Robert. Little Miss was in heaven and had a great time loving on her grandparents.

She told us, "I want to drive Hank by myself!"
Travis says we are in trouble.

Such a big girl!

Grandma Ancy says she is a natural. :)

Sweet girl!

She let me take over 500 pictures. Such a trooper.

I cannot believe how big my girl is getting.

Big girl bed

During our stay in PA, Blair had been sleeping on a double bed – no crib. We had already gotten her a big girl bed (set-up in her new big girl room), but were waiting for the right timing to make the move. Well, enter “the perfect time.” We didn’t want to take a step backwards since she had done such a great job in a regular bed – so when we returned, we went straight to the new bed. Success. She loves it and it is the perfect bed for her. It even has some great drawers for toys so we have more storage space.

I debated about whether or not to do a toddler bed, but in the end, opted out of the toddler bed. This bed (from IKEA) seemed to be such a great height / size that I didn’t think she needed that middle step of a toddler bed. We’ve been fortunate that she has done so well in her new bed / room and sleeps like a champ (if you call waking up on the weekends at 7:15am – a champ J).
